Late CM. Baranwal (1924-2012) was an Indian author & mystical Poet. He wrote many hindi and english poem. His most famous english poem is "O My Maiden" & Hindi poem is "मेरा यह मीत हारा है ...." .He was also written poems in Urdu, Awadhi . Mostly he written on the subject of nature, our society and Indian army.  He was a great philosopher and covered his philosophy in his poems.

                             

He was born in Lakhimpur Khairi, in Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1924. He was Baniya by birth. His father's name Late. Shri Hari Krishna Baranwal and his mother's name Late. Smt. Hema Baranwal. Since adolescence, he loved to write poems. He spent his whole life in suffering. He got married 1951 early and had children too. He had ancestral tobacco business and a fairly prosperous but everything changed after father’s death and due to lack of good condition he had to settle Sidhauli district Sitapur U.P. India with his family and had to do government teacher job in G.V. Inter College. He used to teach hindi. Later he wished to write something in him. He wrote many Hindi, English and Urdu poems.  The reason for his good literature had seen and people near him started appreciating him.  Soon the society conferred him the title of a respected Poet. He was honored in big gatherings of many poets. And After Completed his tenture as a wise principle at college, he got retirement in 1986.

After retirement he established "Subodh Montessori School" at Sidhauli Distt. Sitapur U.P. India in 1973.  His students always remember him and his teachings always follow  in their life. May God grant his soul a place in heaven and provide peace.
